Earthly Bodies
Book Launch
Join us Tuesday, September 24th, for a wild and nourishing dinner and book launch event for Vanessa Chakour’s Earthly Bodies: Embracing Animal Nature
You are invited to enter an immersive and sensorial experience that reflects on this provocation…
By erecting walls between ourselves and the wild, we have lost something essential to our human experience. Can we truly be at home in a life disconnected from nature?
For centuries, humans have built walls—both literal and metaphorical— between ourselves and nature. We’ve built a world of comfort and control, severing vital connections. But what if our sense of place wasn’t limited to our four walls? What if our definition of home included the natural world? What if we truly viewed ourselves as part of – and not separate from – our wild relatives such as wolves, coyotes, mushrooms and plant life? How would we interact with our living environment? And what would be possible?
This is a first come, first served dinner and event and will be capped at 50 people.
Our intention is to make this experience affordable, while honoring the food provided and labor involved in putting it together.
Tickets are non-refundable
